NOLAA Gallery has a new exterior look, we painted this summer!!!  Follow the Fleur de Lis, our symbol and the Symbol of New Orleans.

Literally defined from the French as "Flower of Lily", it has appeared in Artwork, Royalty and Religions from the earliest civilizations.

The three petals are said to represent, Faith, Wisdom and Chivalry, as well as the Holy Trinity.  

Many historic paintings are found to have the Fleur de Lis somewhere within the painting.

Images of the Virgin Mary holding the flower emerged on coins in the 11th Century.

The coins were issued by cathedrals that were dedicated to her.

For NOLAA Gallery the Symbol of the Fleur De Lis reflects the continuing Presence, Perseverance, and Heraldry of everyday life.
